A modern Moses is speaking, a voice crying out for justice.

Marijntje Gerling

,

literary critic, Meander magazine, Netherlands

In the workshop "I wrote a poem in Africa, on the slopes of Ngong Hills" I learned that the spoken word connects people and cultures, in a context where assertive expressiveness is fundamental. It's not enough to write, you need to know how to write well in order to leverage the power that the word has over the sender. Writing is present everywhere, all the time, we just need to use all our senses.

(Few) dared to embark on the language rollercoaster of the man who sees himself as someone with a spoon in his head.

Yves Joris

An exuberance of proposals, a pertinent vision of complementarities, a lively and extensive memory and network through which he can make surprising and relevant connections.

Philip Meersman turns poetry into a spectacle, a game, fun... A minstrel of the 21st century, he enchants, fascinates and amuses at the same time with wit and inspiration.

José Maria Paz Gago

Philip Meersman embodies the best of new poetry and new visual poetry.

Willard Bohn

,

drs. Meersman gave an inspiring presentation on what it means to be a poet and the ways in which poets convey their messages. (...) He also gave a stirring performance of his poems. Our students were captivated by the energy of his performance and deeply moved by the powerful messages conveyed.

Eleni Kallitsi

,

Head of Engels, The Junior and Senior School, Nicosia, Cyprus

I am convinced that Philip is a variation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. On the one hand, he is methodical, organized, linear in his approach and behavior, with a strong urge to dot all the i's and cross all the t's. But once on stage, whether as a poet, actor, performer or otherwise, his Mr. Hyde comes out to play. And he is not limited by limitations, prejudices or norms.

Mario Van der Meulen

,

I have always experienced Philip as someone who combines a high level of professionalism with a healthy dose of realism and humor.
